The Australian actress, singer and international icon Kylie Minogue started a legal process during February of 2016 regarding the commercial use of the name KYLIE against Kylie Jenner. Jenner tried to register this name on April 2015 with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to use it for her makeup line and for her clothing and accessories project.
Doing a small career recap for both of these public figures we can bring to the table that Jenner started to be famous when she appeared on the reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians and also because of her controversial publications on her social media accounts. The talented Kylie Minogue has blocked her after the legal battle. Minogue is well known for her participation in the movies Street Fighter and as the fairy at The Moulin Rouge; she also has collected musical hits over the years such as, I Should be so Lucky and Can’t get You Out of My Head her most successful singles.
Jenner tried in the past to register KYLIE JENNER as well and the USPTO denied this solicitude. After this attempt she tried with just KYLIE to use it for her makeup line, clothes and accessories. On the other hand Minogue has presence in media before her, a fragrance line, a home décor line, music albums, international tours; jewelry, dolls, clothing line, furniture and books; all of them using KYLIE for commercialization.
If you thought all of this was too little just think about how Kylie Minogue started her long career in the 80’s and has always used just the name Kylie for any project. The Stylepolitan team is more than happy about this victory for Minogue; she represents talent, beauty, and altruism after she won her battle against cancer. She has a unique and feminine style that makes her a muse for several fashion designers; for example, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce from Dolce & Gabbana.
